Summer Chic

New warm-weather yarns have arrived from the queen of summer chic, Louisa Harding. This British designer’s summer collection is simply outstanding!

Marmo and Mazzo are two new scrumptious yarns that are dyed to be paired together, or spectacular all by themselves.

Marmo, which is Italian for “marble”,  is a quite fitting description of its unique blending of color.

Mazzo, which translates to “bouquet”,  is a woven tape with a streak of shine through the middle for a bit of pizazz.

Several leaflets featuring Marmo and Mazzo are available from Louisa Harding:

We also love the Jolie scarf, knit with 1 skein of Marmo and 1 of Mazzo. This pattern is free when you purchase the yarn to make the scarf!

Another summer favorite from Louisa Harding is Anise.

This lightweight colorful ribbon is both breezy and bulky, with fabulous designs featured in the Anise pattern booklet.

  1. Wonderful choices! I’d like the DonnaRosa-Mondovino colorway. Keely, thanks for all the give-aways!

  2. I really like Venice-VillaDucale! Well, actually I would be happy to have any of them. They’re all beautiful!

    1. Congratulations Betty! You’re the winner. I have your prize aside for you. Please pick it up by April 29, or it will be put back in the prize hopper.

      1. Thank you! I can’t wait to visit again! I plan to pick out another color for my daughter-in-law’s birthday too! My husband teases me when I win a prize, I’m always shopping for lots of extras while picking up the “prize”, LOL!

  3. Mary is right: they’re all gorgeous, and it’s hard to choose! I know the Rio Bravo/Miramar combination would suit my coloring; but I just can’t pass up the happy colors in the Colosseum-Rome combo — Colosseum is the one in the capelet above, yes? Colosseum-Rome is my semi-final answer. 😉

Thanks so much for the fun giveaway, and for all the ways you spoil us!

  4. This yarn is beautiful. I think I like Mondovina/Donna Rosa best. But the Marco Polo /Juliet is pretty close to first! Hope I win but if not I’ll have to buy some! Wait! I think I like the Rio Brava/Marimar best! Sigh….decisions decisions. Thanks Keely for your generosity. So sorry I had to miss the last event.

  5. The Rio Bravo really shines, but the Venice has its appeal, too. It’s been a long time, Keely! Jill & I will have to make a road trip out to Guthrie one of these days.

  6. Love the Ballerina-campo. Thank you for all the wonderful giveaways. I have become inspired to start knitting at least 1 project every month.
