Tiny Toppers

Tiny Toppers

We had an overwhelming response to the Click for Babies purple hat campaign this year. It got us thinking –  what if we could start a hat campaign that would keep the hats local, and reach nearly every child in our area.

Today we’re happy to announce that we’re launching the Tiny Topper campaign, working in conjunction with Sooner SUCCESS. We see nearly every child in Logan County during the annual downtown trick-or-treat event. Our goal is to provide a handmade hat to each child, along with information for the parents on the Sooner SUCCESS program.

I recently met with Brandy Parks, Sooner SUCCESS county coordinator for Logan County and was extremely impressed with this program. Sooner SUCCESS assists families of children with special needs. Whether exploring eligible services, resources, programs and more Sooner SUCCESS helps build inclusive communities through a comprehensive network of partnerships.

What constitutes a child with special needs is quite broad, encompassing a wide range of children’s needs. Sooner SUCCESS is affiliated with the OU Health Science Center and we are so thrilled to be working with them. Getting information out into our community about this program will be far more effective when it is attached to an adorable handmade hat.

We need your help! Hats are already starting to roll in, but we have a very big goal. I’d estimate that we see upwards of 1,500 children. We will still be supporting the Click for Babies purple hat campaign campaign next year. There is enough love to spread around!
