A whale of an adventure!

Keely is back from her whirlwind college tour and just barely missed the great flood in the shop. Things are fine, but the floor is a bit sticky and needs a bit of work. This week she shares new BLUSH needles from Lykke, her love for the Daisy Garden collection from Vendula, social events and classes for next week, and a new sample! Give the video a watch for more hijinks!

While we got our BLUSH Lykke sets in a few weeks ago, we were still waiting for individual needles and they’re here. We love the Lykke DPNs and interchangeable tips because they’re such a good size and feel great in your hands as you knit. We already had the birch and indigo, but now we’ve got BLUSH too!

For her trip, Keely decided she needed a new bag and she grabbed the Daisy Garden Bee Cross Body Clutch from VendulaLondon. This was the perfect bag and she got compliments on it everywhere she went! She already uses the Large Tote as a knitting project bag. Maybe she should just get the coin purse and the Top Handle Bag and have a matched set? Or you could buy them first!

Are you feeling social? In need of a class? August starts next week and we have tons of opportunities for you. Tuesday morning is our monthly meeting of the 9 to Noon Crew. We’ll provide the coffee and pastries, you provide the company! We do ask that you RSVP so we know to expect you – we hope to see you there?

If adult beverages are more your style, it’s time for another happy hour. Wednesday evening at 5pm we’ll head over to Mack and Ike’s for some good times at Sip-n-Stitch and boy does Keely have some new stories to tell you! Reservations aren’t required for this one – just show up (and bring your partner or friends) and we’ll have a great time!

Finally, we’re holding meetings of our Beginner Bunch next Thursday and Saturday. If you want to learn to knit or crochet this session is perfect for you. You’ll need to sign up for this one, but we’d love to share our favorite crafts with you!

Jennifer just finished a lovely new sample of Panorama, from our Town & Country Crochet collection. This wrap is an easy crochet pattern, and the gradient is achieved by holding different strands of Rowan’s Fine Lace together as you crochet. Jennifer loved the purples together, but we’ve got a Chromatic Version as well as one in blues. Or you can choose your own colors and make your own unique version. This one is perfect to work on while it’s still so hot and sticky out!

That’s about it for this week. Next week we may pre-record the Tuesday Facebook live broadcast, or come to you a bit later than usual, but we’ll be there and we’ll have some fun new things to share. See you then!
