Blizzard of Yarn!

While we’ve been busy preparing for this blizzard that’s supposed to hit today, I can tell you that we’ve had a virtual blizzard of spring yarns arriving over the past several weeks.
Two new yarns from Berroco slid in on our last snowy day.
Captiva
Captiva is a beautiful cotton blend that reminds me of a cross between Berroco’s Bonsai and Seduce.

This open vest pattern is free at Berroco.com and only takes 5-8 skeins.
Versa
Versa is a twin ribbon yarn with fun painted colors.

This quick knit cardigan works up in a flash and is free at Berroco.com. You’ll be able to finish it before spring gets here.
We also have the corresponding pattern booklets for these yarns. I have been feverishly working on the website. Since we launched the new look earlier this month, I have revamped several more areas including needles, accessories and specialty items. Patterns and books are next on the list!
However, I think much of this week will be spent getting ready for Friday’s Spring Yarn Tasting.  Have you signed up and reserved your yarn tasting kit yet?
It will be the party of the season. In addition to showcasing the many new yarns we have for spring, we are also kicking off our big 20 year celebration. With tons of door prizes, tasty food, great yarns and good friends, this event is not to be missed.
Hope you can join us – we’ll all be ready to get out and about after the blizzard.  In the interim, I am looking forward to beouf bourguignon and a roaring fire when I get home. I am also knitting away on a new design that I can’t wait to share with you.
We’re here and open today, at least until school lets out. If the snow is a blowin’ I may cut out early.
Stay warm!
