chateauJanuary’s frosty weather has me longing to be¬†surrounded by snow¬†in a cozy Swiss chateau¬†filled with long days of knitting, complete with a roaring fire, a good movie and a mug of hot cocoa. The¬†best I can hope for is a snow day in my very non-chateau like home with a bored boy, but a girl can dream.
So it only fitting that for January we decided to spotlight Classic Elite’s Chateau, along with its sister yarn Chalet.
Hands down, this is one of the most luscious yarns we’ve ever felt. A luxurious blend of baby alpaca and bamboo, Chateau is decadently soft with a lovely drape. Its chainette construction makes it incredibly lightweight, yet strong.
Chateau is offered in a range of beautifully saturated and vibrant shades.
Chalet is the natural undyed color range of the same yarn.
These bulky yarns are worked on a size 10-11 needle (J-L hook), yet they work up light as a feather!
Classic Elite offers some beautiful patterns to accompany these yarns.

Soft and squishy, this eyelet rib cowl features gentle shaping for a great fit. Your neck will love you! Works up quickly with merely 2 skeins of yarn.
If you are not familiar with this incredible yarn, you really must come in and give it a feel. Fair warning: it is irresistible.  A skein or two will undoubtedly walk out the door with you!
$12.50/5ogm skein (98 yards), quite a reasonable price for such luxury.
