December 1: Let the Festivities Begin!
We started this annual holiday tradition nine years ago and the 24 Days of SWAK has become a bit of fun that many look forward to each year. We’ll have daily posts spreading holiday cheer along with prizes, patterns, recipes, holiday tips and much more.
Audience participation is key, and it is easy for you to play along. To comment on any of the posts, simply give your name and email address. Don’t worry, your email will not be posted anywhere for anyone to see.
Be sure to check in daily – some prizes are only available the day of posting only, so don’t miss out.
If you are a prize winner, please note that all prizes must be picked up in person at our shop no later than January 31, 2018. We do not mail or ship prizes, however if you live afar and order merchandise online we are happy to include your prize with your shipment.
Today we are busy getting ready for tomorrow’s big Find Your Fade event. We have a bit of a preview for you today, including the pattern for this beautiful shawl designed by Jeannie. Worked with three shades of Mrs. Crosby Train Case, this shawl is knit in a very easy eyelet pattern.
Jeannie came on board at SWAK earlier this year, and I don’t know what we did without her! Download Jeannie’s Easy Fade shawl, today’s little present for you.
Hope you can join us tomorrow! We’ll be showing off the full color range of Mrs. Crosby’s beautiful hand dyed yarns in three different weights, along with a packet of pattern suggestions for spectacular fade designs. And no SWAK event is complete without tasty treats, great camaraderie and a really good time.
I’m even making a Buche de NoĂ«l (yule log) from scratch. As in candy thermometers, sifting, whisking until your arm nearly falls off, pain in the neck. . . and hopefully it will resemble an edible log when it’s complete.
Come kick up your heels with us!
