December 11: Quick & Warm
‘Tis the Season…to knit ear warmers! Winter weather is finally here, and we have two great colorful and chunky yarns that are perfect for last minute gifts.
We just love Noro’s Ginga. This colorful blend of cotton, silk and wool works up beautifully, and is really soft.
There are several fun patterns available for Ginga, including a matching headband and cowl. The set takes 2 skeins, or just make a headband with just one.
Brio is back again this season, with several new shades. It’s chunky, colorful, thick-n-thin, with glittering metallic strands…what more can you ask for?
Well, how about a free headband pattern that takes just one skein? The Quinoa pattern is a free download, courtesy of Berroco Yarns.
Today, I’m feeling particularly festive so I am giving away TWO great prizes today:
- Noro Ginga Headband Kit
- Berroco Brio Headband Kit
Here’s how you can win.
- Tell us if you’d like to win the GINGA or BRIO.
- Plus which color you’d like to win. Click here for Ginga, and here for Brio.
You have until midnight. We’ll randomly select two lucky winners!

11.12.2016 at 07:50I made a “Kinetic Cowl” using Brio #9447/Riot, so I’d love to try the Ginga in #05. I’m intrigued at the prospect of a soft Noro yarn! I’ve used Wadaiko, and have a couple of others in my stash that I won at a charitable auction, and have been dismayed at how rough they all feel.

Absolutely beautiful. I have knitted in so many colors of the brio; I really love it. It makes up quick and is so pretty. The bit of metallic really adds to an outfit.
