December 14: Rowan Holiday

Rowan just dropped several gorgeous designs for the holiday season. While the timing is less than optimal, these designs will inspire you. Look at it this way – you will have plenty of time to complete these projects for next year!

Three of our favorite Rowan yarns are featured in this collection of designs:

alpaca classic

Although Rowan introduced Alpaca Classic to the line just last season, it already feels like an old friend.

This lightweight yarn has a feathery feel with a romantic halo, featuring a delicate cotton mesh filled with luxurious alpaca fibers. With a broad and intense color palette, it is easy to see why Alpaca Classic has quickly become such a favorite!

alpaca soft dk

Another Rowan classic, Alpaca Soft DK offers a luxurious handle and rich color palette. Spun from a premium blend of extrafine Merino, superfine Merino and baby alpaca, it makes an easy choice for garments and accessories.

baby cashsoft merino

This versatile, lightweight yarn is soft and easy-care. A perfect choice for baby and children, this cashmere-rich yarn is not just for little ones. With a refined stitch definition and broad color palette, Baby Cashsoft Merino is the perfect choice for lightweight knits.

lisa richardson

The Rowan Holiday Collection was created by Lisa Richardson, Rowan’s Senior Designer and Technical Manager. With a background in tailoring and homewares, Lisa joined Rowan in 2003. Inspired by shape and texture, Lisa’s designs showcase interesting stitch details, unique garment structure and stylish techniques with a classically understated, yet innovative brilliance reflected in the global status she now commands.

As you flip through the Rowan publications, you’ll find many of your favorite designs are Lisa Richardson creations.
