December 15: Vino!

Yesterday was just one of those days!
Mondays and I used to get along swimmingly well. It’s relatively quiet around the shop, but not too quiet. I’d get a good¬†start to¬†my week, get lots of stuff done. But lately our relationship hasn’t been going so well.
Some tales just need told in person, but let’s just say yesterday was sabotaged by missing teeth, the bathroom police, and my sudden inability to mail a package despite decades of intense experience in that area. And those are just the highlights.
So it is no surprise that my beverage of choice for the evening came in a tall corked bottle. I love a good pinot noir, but can’t drink red wine. I get really hot and my ears turn bright red. So I stick with white – Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay are my preference.
Along the lines of keeping your spirits bright, I have a couple of free patterns for you today!
Bottle Topper
Dress up your wine bottles with these little hats & scarves. Much cuter than a bottle gift bag!  This Bottle Toppers pattern download is my first gift for you today.
Or why not make a cozy sweater? My second gift to you today is for this Wine Cozy featuring a cable and twist stitch pattern.
If spirits aren’t your thing, these would also be a great way to dress up a gift of speciality olive oils & such. Download both these free patterns today, for they will go away tomorrow.

Thank you Keely. I love the look of them on the bottles. Sometimes you can find bath salts or bubble bath in that same shape bottle and it would make a lovely and feminine spa gift basket with a beautiful knitted face cloth and maybe a candle for some aroma therapy. After proofreading this I’d suggest one throw in the bottle of wine too. What a way to end a hectic and frustrating day, a bubble bath, a glass of wine, a lavender candle (very calming), and your favorite relaxing music.
