December 16: Color!
Today I have a trio of colorful yarns to tell you about. You’re in for quite a treat!
Louisa Harding’s Pitturissimo, which loosely translates as painting in Italian, has a fantastic painted color effect. This colorful blend of fine merino and bamboo viscose works up beautifully.
There are several great designs from Louis Harding that highlight Pitturissimo well, with her signature feminine and lacy style. Our version of the Tulli cowl shown at the beginning of this post was worked by combining Pitturissimo and Katia’s Cotton Merino.
Folio, Berroco’s lightweight alpaca blend, is now available in colorful striping shades. Folio Color is great alone, or in combination with the solid shades of Folio.
The Folio Color Collection is an E-Book from Berroco featuring four shawls to knit with Folio Color.
Millefiori is absolutely stunning! Fun colors ebb and flow in random patterns to create a bold and happy fabric.
The Millefiori pattern booklet has several great designs featuring this colorful wool blend.
And that’s not all…we have free Millefiori patterns for you today, courtesy of Berroco. Click on the photos below to download these patterns.
But wait! There’s more. Today I’m giving away the yarn and pattern to knit this quick & simple hat. Simply comment with which color of Millefiori you’d like to win – the colors are posted here. You have until midnight tonight. I’ll randomly select one lucky winner tomorrow.

16.12.2016 at 17:16Well, since 7859/Viola is not offered (which I have 2 of), I would like 7861/Gladiolus or 7885/Lupin both are beautifully shown in the Berroco leaflet #377. If I win, just surprise me as I think that they are all beautiful. Thank you Keely for all your hard work and generosity. âď¸

16.12.2016 at 20:27I bought some Folio in 4954/Casco last time I was at SWAK. I have Amy van der Laar’s “Silverwing” shawl queued up in Ravelry for it. đ It’s so soft, and the colors are just lovely; looking forward to it once my gift knitting is complete.
I like the “Kveta” shawl (one of the Millefiori patterns), and was intrigued by the way the fringe is done — you drop the last four stitches, then cut and knot the resulting loops. May have to give that a try!
No need to enter me in the drawing; just wanted to comment. đ
