December 16: Far East Flair
Winter Wool & Wine
Inspired by the beautiful Wool and Wine book from John Martin
Friday, February 8th • 4pm to 8pm
Mark your calendar for another exciting SWAK event! Our winter Wool & Wine pairing will transport you to the Far East with a selection of Japanese wines paired with silk to knit this lacy Miso shawl featured in the Wool and Wine book.
Choose from thirteen shades of DanDoh Silk+, a unique combination of raw silk and cotton from Japan.
Join us for this fun event. We’ll help you check gauge and get started on your shawl while tasting a variety of Japanese wines and culinary delights. I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone a bit, and will be preparing a Japanese inspired menu accompanied by both saki (rice wine) and koshu (grape wine).
$80, includes three skeins of DanDoh Silk+, Wool and Wine, pattern to knit shawl, Japanese wine tasting and culinary delights. Sign up today to reserve your spot!
The DanDoh line of Japanese yarns was the perfect fit! This signature line from phenom designer Yumiko Alexander features yarns as unique and beautiful as her outstanding collection of designs.
Her latest pattern collection, Modern Deco, is filled with beautiful garments and accessories to knit and crochet. Yumiko is also an extremely talented crochet designer!
If you are an expert crocheter, a so-so crocheter, or even a no-crocheter, you can make these gorgeous beaded bracelets. The kit includes DanDoh Cotton Fine, beads, clasp, and pattern. Â Very easy, and incredibly beautiful!
I think everyone needs a few DanDoh designs in their wardrobe – stylish, unusual, and Oklahoma weather friendly!
Today I’m giving an Entwined Bracelet Kit away to one lucky reader. Simply state in the comments which color you’d like to win. You can see the kit colors here. You have until midnight tonight! Sorry, drawing is over!
