December 17: Think Spring
It may be frigid outside, but we’re already thinking spring. A couple of warm weather favorites have arrived. After all, cotton is a year-round yarn in Oklahoma!
Just arriving from down under, Queensland Cairns is a really fun yarn, with vibrant Aussie-inspired color ways.
And I haven’t forgotten the crocheters! Today I have a fabulous Crochet Infinity Cowl worked with 2 shades of Cairns, and it’s a free download.
Zooey from Juniper Moon Farm is another great all-season yarn. This cotton/linen blend has a nice drape, subtle thick-n-thin texture and comes in gorgeous natural and brilliant dyed shades. Several pattern leaflets are available featuring Zooey.
And we also have a great free pattern to share with you! Take Me to Spain is a free Ravelry download that works up great with Zooey.
Winter flowers…mean spring yarns are just around the corner! One of my sales reps brought this lovely bouquet of flowers to us last week.
I’ve barely made it through telling you of the many new yarns we’ve received for fall, and now we’re expecting an avalanche of new spring yarns. Some have already started trickling in, with the bulk of them to start arriving as early as next week.
We do have a few comings & goings to tell you about. Â These yarns will be going away. What stock we have now is all there will be:
Espresso – we are so sad to see this one go! It has been one of the hottest selling yarns this year with many great patterns. Get it before it’s gone.
Camelot – yes, we just told you about this great colorful yarn from Classic Elite but it will not be returning next fall. We’ve stocked up, but get it before it goes away!
Classic Elite is also selling out of Wildwood and won’t be restocking until mid-summer. We were able to get a bit more in stock, but will be sold out of many of the colors very soon.
If you have been unable to download the free Camelot and Wildwood patterns, it is because of a problem with Classic Elite’s website. They are working to correct the issue, but it is taking longer than we had hoped. Please keep checking back and I’ll let you know when the problem is resolved. This effects ALL of Classic Elite’s free patterns, so it is a pretty serious issue.
Now for a bit of good news…Berroco’s SUEDE is returning. We look forward to seeing this unique, most loved yarn make its return early in the new year. The Oakley fringed shawl is a free download from Berroco. We’re anxiously awaiting a Suede arrival date, so stay tuned.
Hopefully these spring yarns and complimentary patterns will help warm you up a bit!

17.12.2016 at 12:10When I looked at the close-up of the stitch pattern in the crochet cowl, it looks so much like linen stitch! How pretty it is. And I’m excited for Suede to arrive — can’t wait to see the 2017 colors.
