You can’t have beer without pretzels, and I have a couple of great pretzel recipes to share with you today.
Mason loves Soft Pretzels. We often stop by Sonic to get pretzel twists for an after school snack.  I made my own soft pretzels this past weekend and Mason said they are better than Sonics. I know that seems a very low bar to surpass, but it is quite a compliment coming from an 11 year old.
I also thought I’d give desert pretzels a try. These Chocolate Pretzels are basically a shortbread dough dipped in chocolate. I thought I’d take it to another level and topped them with caramel and fleur de sel. They are really good.

Speaking of fleur de sel, it has become a staple in my household. One of my family’s very favorite dinners is Beef Tenderloin crusted with fleur de sel and cracked pepper. It is so easy to make, and will wow your guests. You really should give it a go. I’ve linked the recipe here for you.
I used the fleur de sel on my soft pretzels too. I’m on the fence as to whether or not that was a good idea. It looks a little melted, but stayed put and made them very salty, which we like! Normally fleur de sel is a finishing salt, but it is the bomb on the beef tenderloin so I thought why not give it a try on the pretzels. I think overall I’m giving it a thumbs up as far as the pretzels go, mainly because it didn’t fall off.
Recently I got carried away and ordered a 5 pound bag of fleur de sel. Yes, I use it quite often but this is a ridiculous amount! If you find yourself in need of fleur de sel, I have plenty to share. Because I bought it in bulk, it is less expensive than usual. Give me a shout if you need some!

    I tried the beef tenderloin worth fleur del sel and cracked pepper. It is Good! We are making a prime rib and going to use fleur de sel again. Brought home one of the chocolate pretzels, my husband ate it and said it was good.

    I love the beef tenderloin with fleur de sel and cracked pepper. It’s become a staple around here too. I forgot to buy some more fleur de sel on Tuesday. I will be back in to get some.

    Keely, I can’t get the soft pretzel recipe to open! Doesn’t matter whether I click through or right-click and save targeted content; I get an error that the document can’t load. Is it just me?

      Oops. After making them I realized 2 days later that storing them in an air tight container was a dumb move, but I guess after correcting my instructions it didn’t upload right. I didn’t bring my computer home tonight but will fix it in the morning. Thanks for letting me know!
