December 21 – Busy Little Elves

Santa has kept us busy today, putting out the huge shipment of yarn that arrived on Wednesday.
In the midst of this spring yarn avalanche is one winter classic we think you will love. I was putting off ordering basic wool for felting because, well because it is boring. While pondering an exciting solution, I realized the perfect yarn was right under our nose.
Color by KristenIntroducing Color by Kristin. This wool, alpaca, mohair blend is perfect for colorwork and felts beautifully. From the studio of Kristin Nicholas, one of the most influential designers in the world of knitting.

Read all about Kristin in a fantastic interview posted on Classic Elite’s blog.  You’ll also really enjoy Kristin’s blog “Getting Stitched on the Farm.”
Be sure to download the free pattern for this cute tablet cozy, featuring Color by Kristen. What a great way to try your hand at Fair Isle knitting!
Canyon, the newest addition to Classic Elite’s MountainTop Collection also arrived. It is gorgeous! The corresponding pattern booklets won’t be out until after the first of the year. Fortunately I have the pattern previews and yarn requirements to help us out in the interim.
We went a little crazy buying Sprout and Seedling.
More colors are expected soon. When the rest of the order arrives, we’ll have 35 shades of Sprout and 40 shades of Seedling including Seedling Handpaint. Now that’s what you call a rainbow of color!
Classic Elite has several great patterns for Sprout and Seedling including this Sprout Baby Blanket, Sprout Set, Seedling Wrap, and Belle Skirt.

Now I just need a team of elves to show up and wrap these growing piles of presents that are scattered around the shop.
Any takers?

Talk about a sleigh full of fun! I’d be happy to wrap but you haven’t seen my wrapping skills (or lack thereof).
