December 22: We Got the Beet
Now that winter is officially here, one would expect to find my office filled with chunky wools and winter yarns. Everywhere I look there are growing stacks, piles, and boxes of SPRING yarn! Spring and summer yarns are starting to trickle through the door.
We are especially excited about the silks, cottons, and hemp from our friends at Beet Street. These gals are so much fun, and we love the LOOM line of yarns from Bangkok that they distribute.
Fusili
This thick-n-thin silk yarn features short slubs of white cotton marbling randomly throughout. Earthy and beautiful!

Risoni
These silk cones are so pretty, I would be happy just having them on a shelf to admire! This pure silk has delectable slubs throughout.

Piega
Pure hemp, softly textured in brilliantly dyed colors.

These three yarns are beautiful alone, or worked together.
Peek into Spring
We are anxiously waiting on the arrival of our official Flagship “box” from Rowan. It’s not quite as fancy as the Queen’s red dispatch box, but instead of documents our Rowan box is filled with – well, documents along with samples of the yarns for their spring lineup. I will feel like a queen when Rowan’s box arrives!

We did get get a peek into what is coming, when our Rowan representative visited us last week and it is fabulous. Crocheters, get ready to jump for joy. Rowan’s Spring collection is FILLED with fabulous crochet projects.
Exciting things are coming in the new year!
