December 24: A Blue Christmas
Pantone recently revealed the color of the year for 2020 – Classic Blue. I have to admit that my reaction was “meh”.

My first thought was why they’d pick a boring blue shade to kick off the decade, and an election year no less. While we may be sharply divided when it comes to politics, one thing everyone can agree on is that election years are miserable. Was Pantone trying to foretell our collective mood for the upcoming year? Is it also to be the year of the anti-depressant?
I then took a step back and thought of it from a different angle. While blue = depressing in my mind, it also conveys a feeling of calm, peace, and tranquility. Perhaps we all do need a dose of that for the upcoming year.
So to that end I wish everyone a very Blue Christmas and a Peaceful New Year!
It is truly a joy to share a bit of my world and inspiration with you each season. Thank you for reading, and be sure to stay tuned in the New Year. We have so many exciting things in the works!
I leave you today with a little Elvis:

24.12.2019 at 09:59Blue is always tranquil as it reminds me of the ocean, and the waves beating on the shore which is very relaxing, the sound of the water rolling back and forth on the shore. Have a wonderful Christmas Keely!
