December 24: Merry Christmas Eve

We probably could have called this the 24 Days of YARN this year, because I’ve had so many new yarns to tell you about! We still have more new fall/winter yarns that I’ve yet to mention.
I am so ready to get 2016 in the rear view mirror. Personally I’ve had a pretty crummy year. We are gearing up for what we hope to be an amazing 2017. Here’s just a few of the things you have to look forward to:

  • Spring Yarn – lots and lots of spring yarn! So much yarn that there will be many more great posts coming soon, including free patterns and giveaways.
  • 25th Anniversary – yep, we kick off our 25th year this March. Sounds like a good excuse for a celebration!
  • Fun Classes – have you had a chance to check out our winter class schedule? Lots of great projects coming up in the new year.

A huge THANK YOU to all of you for your continued support. Your kind comments, especially about mom, have been very appreciated.
We are closed today and tomorrow so we all can celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Our hours next week are:

Monday-Friday, 10am to 5pm

Saturday (New Years Eve), 10am to 2pm

There will be no rest for the weary! Next week I’m moving my dad into independent living (yes I’ve been orchestrating this in midst of all the holiday hullabaloo), then my calendar is jam packed with swim meets, Mason’s 10th birthday, and it just goes downhill from there. Santa needs to bring me a vacation, although I’ll settle for seeing this little sweetie’s smile!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

I’ve enjoyed this 24 Days of SWAK so much, Keely! You are overflowing with creativity!
I’m glad your dad is transitioning into a skilled care environment. I have a dear friend who just moved into a facility in Houston, and she is thriving! The activities they offer and the friends she’s made meet all the social needs she couldn’t while living alone. I hope your dad will be similarly happy! I think my family will be facing a similar decision in the near(ish) future. I would love to talk with you sometime and see how you navigated through the situation.
Meantime, I am celebrating Christmas Eve by donating platelets and singing at church. Oh, and by wrapping gifts that are still in their shipping boxes! A joyous and merry Christmas to all! “God bless us, every one!”

I moved my dad into an independent living facility this year. I hope it goes well. If it doesn’t please call us. Some of these places are not what they should be. Good luck. Bev

Thanks Bev! He’s moving to Touchmark on Covell & Kelly. Naturally he picked the most expensive of the places we looked at, but it seems really nice. Hopefully he’ll like it.
