December 5: One Fine Day
Another trunk show from Spud & Chloë arrived on Friday featuring Fine, a sock-weight blend of superwash wool and silk. With over thirty scrumptious solid and stripey shades, it definitely made for one fine day!
The full color range is in-stock and on display. The colors are very yummy!
Along with the yarn, we have lots of great samples to see including socks, mittens, leg warmers, cowls and sweaters.
This show leaves on the 22nd, so stop in and check it out while it’s here. The yarn will stick around, but catch it while we’re fully stocked and have all these great samples on hand.
Today one lucky duck will get to sample this Fine yarn, courtesy of Spud & Chloë. We’re giving away skeins of Fine and Stripey Fine, along with a fun little pencil bag and button.
If you’re like me, you now have this Carole King classic stuck in your head. While the Chiffons originally recorded One Fine Day, I always prefer it when Carole King sings her songs herself.
What is your favorite Carole King song? It’s Too Late is my favorite, with Where You Lead coming in a close second but I’ve been on a Gilmore Girls binge lately so that could be influencing me a bit.
Share your favorite Carole King tune and we’ll pick a winner from those who leave a comment. If you do not know any Carole King songs just be honest and say so, but be prepared for me to give you a hard time next time I see you.

Kind of appropriate in these here parts.
Think I still have her “Tapestry” album somewhere. Also appropriate for my yarn addiction…..

05.12.2015 at 09:56“You’re so Vain”. Don’t know why, my favorite should be something more positive, but…

05.12.2015 at 11:50Ahhhh, my sophmore year in highschool.
The hours of tears I spent. Cant hear 1 of her songs from Tapestry that the memories dont come flooding back. Oh, the drama of it all…
Cant believe I can still remember it.
Any and all songs on her Tapestry Album.
By the way, has anyone seen the musical?

05.12.2015 at 11:51I’m sorry, but Carole King is like yarn or cookies – you can’t have just one favorite! Like all children of the 60s – 70s, I had to have “Tapestry”. That album would be my favorite, but I still love the work she did in the 50s! Who could choose? Tapestry? It’s Too Late? I Feel the Earth Move?
OH, wait! Jazzman – definitely Jazzman!
I hate to admit it, but one of my favorites is the commercial she did with her daughter a few years ago. It was lovely…

05.12.2015 at 14:09It is so hard to choose but for me its Tapestry – I love and relate to the words. But it is so hard to choose 🙂

05.12.2015 at 14:23I’ll be honest. I had to goggle Carol King to see who she is and what she wrote and sang. Music wasn’t a big part of my childhood growing up and I was only ten in 1971. But I have heard You’ve Got a Friend. I really like the new Spud & Chloe yarns.

05.12.2015 at 15:02Love Carol King! I listened to her in the seventies and got the Troubadour CD she made with James Taylor a few years back. I love all of her songs, but I am partial to A Natural Woman.

05.12.2015 at 16:27Wow I agree there are so many. I really like I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet since we can all relate to that.

07.12.2015 at 16:31Even though I missed the deadline, my favorite Carole King song is “I Feel the Earth Move.”
And speaking of favorites, what pattern is that gray shawlette/scarf with the colorblock edging? Me love!
