December 7: Hooker Friendly
We don’t just knit at SWAK, we do crochet too. Even I have been known to wield a hook from time to time. I recently crocheted a knight hat. Mason was Saint George at his school’s All Saints Day parade; it was easier than trying to figure out something with tinfoil.
But our most enthusiastic crocheter is Anna. You may remember last spring she lost everything in a wildfire. I’m happy to report that thanks to the generosity of many of our readers, along with her friends on Ravelry she has been able to replace her home with a larger model along with needed household items.
In fact, this Thanksgiving she was able to have the whole family fit comfortably in her new home at a larger dining table. While nothing can replace a lifetime of treasured belongings, she is making great strides.
Today our gift to you comes from Anna, who designed this cool crochet scarf featuring a cross stitch pattern. Her daughter-in-law Heidi was nice enough to model it for us.
Here is the link for Anna’s Crochet Cross Stitch Scarf pattern. She used Berroco’s Inca Tweed and it only took 2 skeins.
We have some fun crochet classes on the upcoming class schedule.
Come crochet with us sometime!
