09.12.2020 at 20:12Favorite? The one in front of me at the time….
All pie. I love all of them, but at Christmas you can’t go wrong with my eggnog pie. It’s an old school, from scratch, stir the egg yolks in the double boiler and use real whipped cream to finish.
Also, one of the few who loves mince pie…

09.12.2020 at 21:17Lemon meringue is my favorite, but coconut cream is a close second!

09.12.2020 at 22:19My favorite pie was the “Millionaire Pie” that I used to get at “Furr’s Cafeteria” in my youth. It’s a favorite mostly because it was usually a special occasion, probably some family member’s birthday, when we would go to the buffet and pick whatever we wanted to eat. I’ve run across some recipes, but never attempted to make it, mainly because I was afraid of being disappointed in the outcome, if it didn’t taste the same. It was a lot of fluff, but it was the little bits of fruit, nuts, crunch, etc., that were folded in and made the texture just right. The pie crust had a slight sweetness to it also.
