House Party Day 7: Tails with Sherry
Mom loved to make instructional videos. Her computers were filled with hours of footage she had filmed but never used. The video quality is a little dated, but I thought many of you would enjoy an opportunity to learn from the master herself.
This first series is on working in yarn ends, or tails. I had no idea she had put her knowledge on this topic into a video, so it was a rather pleasant surprise to stumble upon these!
Whenever possible tails should be worked into a seam. These videos will tell you how to handle tails in other situations.
Tails in Stockinette Stitch
Tails in Ribbing
Tails in Garter Stitch
Mom filmed two different methods on how to work tails in garter stitch. I can only speculate as to which she preferred, but my pick would be the duplicate stitch method. She obviously thought both were acceptable or she wouldn’t have bothered to film both methods.
