Kumo
This wonderfully soft blend of Cotton, Silk, Viscose and Wool from Noro Yarns is absolutely splendid! Kumo has a lovely drape, and is available in nine softly hued shades marled with natural tones.
Noro Magazine, Issue 12 is features seven designs to knit with Kumo.
And the patterns for this Mika Shirt and Rika Top are free when you purchase Kumo to make the project.
Join us this Saturday, June 9th for a class on the Rika Top. This summer tunic features alternating panels of stockinette and lace crated with short rows.
Today I’m giving away a skein of Kumo, along with a copy of the Noro Magazine Issue 12. One skein knits this lace scarf. Simply tell us which color you’d like to win and I’ll randomly select one lucky winner. You have until midnight on Saturday, June 2nd to get in on the drawing.
Note that give-aways must be picked up in person and will not be mailed.
The lace scarf is “featured” in the latest Noro magazine as an outtake. After flipping through the magazine and searching for this pattern for a ridiculous amount of time, I was able to deduce what they meant by an “outtake”. Look at the pattern for #27, Lace Waistcoat. The “scarf” is created by casting on for either the right or left front and continuing until it is the length you want or you run out of yarn.
Of course if would have been nice had they offered more of an explanation!
