Happy Tuesday! Today we’ve got tons of new things to share: a new yarn from Manos del Uruguay, restocks on gorgeous cashmere yarn from Noro, Lykke Blush DPNs (plus news on swifts and ballwinders), new pattern collections from Rowan and more!
We’re so excited. Lykke has come out with DPN kits in their Blush needles. We got only 1 kit in (but we have more on order!). This kit is in the larger sizes (US6-13). Good news – the swifts and ballwinders should be here soon!
We’re expanding our selections from Manos del Uruguay. Feliz is a happy blend of superwash merino wool and modal (a manufactured cellulose fiber), with lovely drape and bounce. The colors on this base are gorgeous! We also got in some more patterns!
from Manos del Uruguay:
- 80% superwash merino, 20% modal
- 100gm/350yd (320m)
- 21-23/4″ – size 4 (3.5mm) needle – DK/Light Worsted
- Machine wash
A happy blend of superwash merino wool and modal (a manufactured cellulose fiber), Feliz has lovely drape without sacrificing wool’s “bounce”. Our popular space-dyed colors take on a heathery look that blends the hues beautifully in this yarn.
Do you love Noro’s colorways, but want something soft? Miyabi is a super soft blend of wool and cashmere. This one is more of a fall yarn, but we just got more colorways in!
- 65% wool, 35% cashmere
- 100/272yd (250m)
- 16-20sts/4″ – size 7-9 (4.5-5.5mm) needle – Worsted/Aran
MIYABI which means “elegant” in the Japanese language, is aptly named. Imagine the magic of Noro combined with the luxury of cashmere… surely a match made in heaven!
With soft gradations of subtle color, and at a user friendly heavy worsted-weight gauge, Cashmere blend Miyabi is sure to become a go to yarn for incredibly soft, high end garments and accessories of all types.
Finally we’ve got two new Rowan publications. Abstract is a collection of architecture-inspired designs from our favorite, Georgia Farrell. And the Brandon Mably collection is tons of fun – Brandon took two basic sweater shapes and applied tons of great colorwork patterns to them.
PS If you haven’t checked out our class schedule, we have Error Correction coming up later this week and tons of other great classes scheduled throughout the spring. We’d love to have you join us!
