I’ve been busy trying to catch up since returning from our vacation. I came home with a bad sinus infection, so if I’ve seemed less than enthusiastic this week it is probably because I can barely breathe.
I also broke off a tooth trying to eat a Tootsie Roll, and if this wind doesn’t blow the acorns out of my yard I will likely break my neck.
My entire yard is totally covered with acorns and I keep falling down when I get out of the car. Keith acts like I’m just clumsy, but you try walking on marbles. Gheez!
I have managed to go through all of the things that arrived in my absence.
First up is Flicker, a wonderfully soft baby alpaca with just a touch of metallic. Gorgeous!
We also received Soufflé, a colorful chunky alpaca blend. Great for quick and colorful knits!
If you’re looking a for special something for a gift or even yourself, check out these cashmere scarf kits. Simply luxurious! Seven different scarf patterns are included with the kit, although we are quite partial to this fun potato chip scarf. We have ecru, cherry red, spicy orange and pretty pink.
And I know the Jane Austen fans out there will be glad to see that the fall issue of Jane Austen Knits is here!
The Portland Tweed and Kumara trunk shows wrap up this weekend, so come check them out before they move on. Great stuff!
