We hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. We’re back at it and gearing up for 24 Days of SWAK which starts tomorrow – remember to check the blog each day and don’t miss out on this year’s festivities!
First up, we’ve had a shipment in from Berroco. We’ve added two new yarns to our lineup: Spree and and Isola. Spree is a DK/Light Worsted cotton and wool blend dyed using a spray effect which means the yarn features tons of dappled color. Isola is also a DK/Light Worsted in cotton, linen and viscose and features lovely ombre gradients. This blend is super drapey and even has a little sheen – it will be stunning for spring knits. We also restocked on some perennial spring favorites: Medina, Summer Sesame & Modern Cotton.
Next up, spring fashions are arriving! Namsar makes linen tops and jackets that are ethically and sustainably hand-craft. This creates deliciously soft garments in natural colors. Everything is a bit oversized – designed for maximum comfort, and we think these tops are affordable too. What could be better?
It’s finally here! We’ve been waiting forever for Kim Hargreaves FALL No. 14. It was released in the fall, but copies were held up in shipping until now. There are some gorgeous cabled sweaters in this issue – a total of 14 classic women’s designs for the winter season featuring Rowan Kidsilk Haze, Alpaca Classic, Alpaca Soft DK, Pebble Island, Felted Tweed, Felted Tweed Aran, Kid Classic & Brushed Fleece.
Kim Hargreaves Fall No. 14$19.95
Finally we got one new sample in! This is the GAP-tastic Cowl by Jen Geigley (a free pattern on Ravelry). Jennifer knit this one up in 3 balls of Candyland from Trendsetter, a bulky wool that works up quickly and colorfully. The result is a super soft and squishy cowl to snuggle into during the winter months.
That’s it for today, but don’t forget to tune in tomorrow when we start the 24 Days of SWAK!
