Skull Yarn Bowl

The skull bowl has a sky blue underglaze on the outsize with cara-bein blue inside. The skulls are silkscreened and the polka dots are free form. I was inspired by my love of skulls and the polka dots began because I accidentally touched my brush in the wrong spot. I then discovered I loved how it looked so I covered the bowl with them.

Non-toxic and food safe glazes are used on each bowl. It takes three layers of glaze for each color (more when I use underglaze too) and three layers of the clear glaze on top of those. The top glaze is what makes them smooth, food safe, and shiny.
