Beef Brisket

  • 3-5 lb flat cut beef brisket
  • package of dried onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp paprkia
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 can Pepsi


Heat oven to 250º


Dry brisket with paper towels. Combine spices and sprinkle on both sides of brisket. Place in large casserole dish or roasting pan. Cover with foil and bake for 5-6 hours.


Approximately 3 hours before serving you can add wedged potatoes to the pan if you wish.


Check periodically to make sure the liquid doesn’t evaporate.


Slice and serve drizzled with the pan juices, or if you prefer a BBQ flair it is delicious served with BBQ sauce.


Recipe can be adapted for a full size brisket. Trim fat, and increase baking time accordingly.


Cooks beautifully in an InstaPot! Cook on high pressure for 1 hour.
