We have some exciting things in store for you this fall. I think we’re most excited about this new line of local wool from Red Farmhouse Fibers.
SEPTEMBER 13 • 10 TO 3
NATURAL – LOCAL – SUSTAINING
Produced from 100% Jacob Sheep wool grown on the Rockin’ S-Squared farm in central Oklahoma, the fibers are minimally processed without chemicals.
The fleeces are spun from each ewe maintaining the beautiful individuality that makes the rare Jacob Sheep so special.
Each skein is named after the ewe that provided the fleece, along with her picture on the label.
This unique and ancient breed dates to biblical times. The Rockin’ S-Squared farm has one of the only registered Jacob Sheep flocks in the Oklahoma/Texas area.
We will be introducing Red Farmhouse Fibers with a fun kick-off trunk show on Saturday, September 13. It is a small flock and production is limited, so don’t miss out.
The event starts at 10 and continues until 3. We’ll even have sheep at the store! In the morning one of the ewes will be on hand for you to meet. Mason is really looking forward to that!
Over the summer I’ve been busy working up a couple of new designs just for this yarn. The Shepherdess Shawl and Jacob’s Hat patterns will be complementary with purchase of Red Farmhouse yarn.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 13 and don’t miss out on this wonderful local wool!
