This week we’ve got a report from Dallas Apparel and Gift markets, samples, new spring yarns and bags. Let’s jump in!
First up, we have a beautiful new sample from the most recent Rowan Spring/Summer Collection. Carol knit up Emilie from Mode 4 Projects: Loungewear out of Rowan Cotton Wool. It’s a classic, elegant, sleeveless piece featuring a 1×1 rib stitch throughout. Emilie has a neat, fitted silhouette enhanced by a small stand up collar.
We also got a shipment in from Clea Ray and these bags are so much fun!

We’re also still receiving new yarns for the spring! Cottontails from Jody Long is 100% cotton, spun in Italy and is available in a rainbow of fifteen solid shades. Jody found this yarn from an Italian mill who was calling it “vegan cashmere” – because it is super soft like cashmere, but 100% vegan cotton.
Karma from Lang is a light, summery yarn in the most fabulous colors reminiscent of sultry summer evenings. This DK/Worsted yarn is a cotton, viscose, linen and acrylic blend sure to make the most fun tops and tees, shawls and more! And there’s a pattern book as well!
While not new, Mirasol Usun is the perfect spring/summer yarn and we have tons of new colorways. Usun is a fine organic cotton blend, and the name comes from the Quechuan word for “cultivated land rich with organic materials.”
