Yarn, yarn and more yarn!

After spending last week at home taking care of a sick boy, I have finally managed to tackle all of the new fall yarns that arrived a few weeks ago.
I told you a little about the new yarn Wynter in my last post. It is a beautiful blend of alpaca and wool. The natural, undyed shades are Blackthorn from Classic Elite’s MountainTop collection; the dyed colors are Wynter.
One of our favorite designs for this new yarn is Sakari, a two-toned shawl.

Patterns for Wynter and Blackthorn are interchangeable – check out the self-titled Wynter and Harvest Woods pattern booklets for great garment and accessory designs.
ChesapeakeMajestic Tweed
We also received Chesapeake and Majestic Tweed.
Chesapeake is from Classic Elite’s Verde Collection, and is a blend of merino and organic cotton. Check out this fabulous Pinna Pompon scarf knit with Chesapeake

Majestic Tweed
Majestic Tweed is so soft! Merino blended with angora and silk…what’s not to love about that?

Check out the Falling Leaf booklet for Chesapeake, and the Nobility booklet for Majestic Tweed patterns.
Color by KristinHorizonAlpaca Sox
In other news, we have three more fantastic fall trunk shows on display featuring Color by Kristin, Horizon and Alpaca Sox.

After a week of taking care of Mason, I caught his sore throat so excuse my frog voice. It is impossible to sound cheery when you can barely talk, but despite this we are very excited about the samples in these trunk shows. You really should come in and see them before they leave. All three shows will be on display through October 5.
Yarn Tasting Kits
Yarn tasting kits are here and ready to go for our Yarn Tasting party on Friday night. This is the party of the season with good eats, fun friends, and lots of yarn. We have double tasting kits this time featuring ten fall yarns. Double tasting kits also means…
